Year 9 Operation Christmas Child—Shoebox Appeal
Written by JRTC Newsletter
Dec 19, 2007 at 12:47 PM

For the fifth year running many pupils and staff have been making a personal contribution to make Christmas special for others less fortunate. They have been busily filling shoeboxes with toys, sweets, crayons and toiletries to be sent to disadvantaged children in other parts of Europe.

The response to this years appeal has been commendable and, as a result, 134 shoeboxes have been collected, beating last year’s record by 17.

Many thanks go to all pupils and staff for their generosity, in terms of both money and time. They will have given others a far happier Christmas than they could have expected.
